Chest Pains????!

Question: I have chest pains sometimes and sometimes they dont hurt all that bad and sometimes its a really sharp pain but then it goes away within a minute. At first i thought something was wrong with my heart but its on both sides. It doesnt happen everyday but its on and off. Im not really sure if im describing it well but are there any suggestions on what it could be???? Im a male btw if that makes a difference.

THERE ARE LOTS OF POSSIBILITIES. MOST ARE NOT SERIOUS BUT A FEW COULD BE. IF THE PAIN GOES AWAY WHEN YOU BURP OR DRINK EITHER MILK OR TAKE A DOSE OF A LIQUED ANTACID SUCH AS MAALOX IT COULD JUST BE GAS PAINS. NOT SERIOUS UNLESS IT BECOMES FREQUENT. IF IT HURTS WORSE WITH A DEEP BREATH IT COULD BE MUSCULOSKELETAL (MUSCLES OR BONES) OR YOUR LUNGS. THE MUSCULOSKELETAL ISSUES ARE NOT LIKELY TO BE SERIOUS. THE COULD BE A SERIOUS THING. IT COULD BE YOUR HEART BUT, YOU ARE RIGHT...WHEN ON BOTH SIDES IT IS LESS LIKELY TO BE HEART. IF IN DOUBT IT IS ALWAYS BEST TO CHECK WITH YOUR DOCTOR. SOME SYMPTOMS THAT SHOULD NOT BE IGNORED (GO TO THE DOCTOR) INCLUDE SHORTNESS OF BREATH, BREAKING OUT IN A SWEAT, A PULSE THAT BEATS IRREGULARLY, PAIN THAT DOES NOT GO AWAY IN A FEW MINUTES, PAIN THAT GOES INTO YOUR JAW OR ARM OR BACK. TAKE CARE.

you could be have mini heart attack &if you have heart disease it is important to get check.
Or you are having gas pains.

It might be heart or respiratory complications but a more likely answer is heart burn. Do you get it after eating. It is still serious and may cause acid-reflux disease.

My best suggestion is this-go to your primary care doctor, tell him about your symptoms regarding your cardiac problem and see what he wants to do for you.Worse case scenario- you wait a while to see your md,then you go for cardiac surgery because you waited too long to see your doctor. If that was me,I'd go see my md, tell him(or her) about my problem, they admit me to the local hospital to do some testing and if everthing is fine , then they will discharge me.
