Is This Normal Pain?!

Question: I went to the gym for the first time, ever. I worked out for an hour with a trainer. I know your muscles should be sore, but mine were so sore for about 4 days after. I couldn't even sit down my legs were so stiff and painful! And it wasn't just regular muscle soreness. It was excruciating! Is this normal? Or did I overdo it?

yes this is very normal for the first time. make sure you stretch before and after your workout to prevent injuries from happening and to help stretch out those muscles that you are working on. it will stop you from being so stiff and painful in the future.

Yes this is normal. But please after one day of working out you NEED to take One day of rest no exceptions!!!

It's normal. I was a runner and half way through my training I was limping for like 2 weeks.

..that wasn't fun.

but it's normal. especially for your first time.

you over did it..... but get a real good case of shin splints and then you can really live..... it will go away ...next start small and add a minute or two each time you go to the gym

Yes that is normal! Same thing happened to me when I started working out again, my trainer said its ok, just keep on stretching those muscles and keep on working out, and you'll be fine! =]

it is normal thing, don't worry with in 7 weeks u feel good , so don't to worry about this , enjoy your daily work out in a gym OK ,best of luck and don't take any supplements OK .

It takes a body time to become accustom to exercise. Yes that soreness is common. But don't jump back in to exercise all hardcore. Take it slow so as to not overwork your muscles. They wont benefit unless given appropriate time to recover from each exercise bout. The soreness you're experiencing is called delayed onset muscle soreness. Google it, you'll feel better about what you are doing if you have some knowledge about how it effects your body.
