You can increase Fiber in your diet ( veggies & fruits especially) plus you can try to go at the same time each day (usually 1/2 hour after breakfast, as the body is working to digest the food and that movement can help move the stool through the GI tract). Also- try increasing exercise, and drinking more fluids (apple, pear, prune juices and good old water). That should help. Also, if you are on any medications- look up the side effects or talk to your Doctor- many drugs have a constipating effect. Good luck on getting things "going" :)

Also, Baking Soda isn't going to help with constipation

I found celery first thing in the morning worked for me,Ive had problems for years and this worked the best.Eat at least 1 stick a day and you should notice a change after five days.Good luck to you.

Senekot is a mild natural laxative you coudl try that. Drinking cranberry, apple or prune juice will help also. Good Luck. Hey prune juice sounds gross I know, but its not to bad and only takes a few ounces it might take longer to work than a gentle laxative however.

drink lots of water
eat plenty of fibre in your diet - breadf, potatoes, rice, pasta, cereals and plenty of fresh veg and fruit
drink fruit juice
exercise

If you can get hold of some Kiwi Fruit ( or Kiwi or Chinese Gooseberries ( depending on what country you live in) they are really good.

Eat two each morning.

Otherwise a much easier thing to get hold of may be some prunes - available from any grocery store.

Eat 5-6 each morning - they are also a laxative ( softener).

Both will help you out and taste great.

drink apple juice

eat like 10 prunes, then two oranges.

usually gets it right out after that for me

Try prune juice a couple of days a week or dried fruit Dried pears help me a lot So does whole grain cereal or oatmeal

Red meat and eggs are probably the worst foods there are for clogging you up. You probably need more fiber and roughage to promote colon health and more regular bowel movements. This means more fruit and vegetables which contain plenty of fiber as well as roughage. Bread, cereals, muesli and pasta contain plenty of fiber but not roughage.

Plenty of red meat is a perfect recipe for getting colon cancer.
