My sternum has always popped when I lean back to stretch?!

Question: I raised my arms, and stretch and lean back (like in a chair) and my sternum pops. Has anyone else ever had this, because I'm told it's not normal.

Yea it happens to me all the time. It is completely normal. It's the rib joints popping just like any other joint popping in your body. If it becomes painful, then you might want to have it checked out, but it's perfectly normal.

No that's not normal. Have you ever had a chest injury. It sounds like there might be some cartilage instability.

used to happen to me when i was a kid.

No. You need to see doctor. Ouch.
