about 4 hours or more
right after you get out of the shower it should start showing up
but nothing is going to show up f you only layout for 30 min
Right after you are done laying out, unless you got burnt then it will be red for a couple days then turn to tan.
I think it really depends on what type of skin you have. I am Italian and have sort of a "Natural" tint to my skin. I can be in the sun for an hour and have a lot of color.
Just be sure to wear some sort of sunscreen while being out in the sun! Have you tried the sunless tanning products? If you are looking for a "quick" tan, I found that the Nutrogena products do not leave me "Orangy"!
