It sounds like a nerve problem and it's best to seek professional advice.

sounds like a wrist sprain, maybe tenditis , either way try not to over use it, get a wrist brace for awhile..

It sounds like carpal tunnel! You need to see an orthopedic surgeon and depending on how severe it is you might have to have a release! Once you have it your symptoms will eventually disappear if you don't have permanent damage to the nerve! Or you may try to take Ibuprofen 400 mg 3 or 4 times a day with food if you aren't allergic to it! Good luck

Sounds like carpal tunnel syndrome. Get some wrist braces from the pharmacy and wear those, especially at night. If you type a lot, make sure your are holding your wrist and hands correctly. I had a lot of problems from using the mouse so much but when I switched to a lap top computer with the little pad mine got better.

If those things all fail or if you are not getting enough relief see an orthopedist who specializes in hand surgery. You also can have steroid injections to help reduce the inflamation of the nerve.

If it's affecting both sides I'd look for a pinched nerve. Specifically up in the neck and close to skull.
As for relief, massage works great - if you do it right.
Hard to do on yourself on the shoulder/neck area. Rub from ear to shoulder, shoulder down bicep, and forearm from elbow to wrist.
To test for carpal tunnel: With your thumb, press firmly on your wrist right where the two bones are meeting the wrist. Hold it there for two minutes. If it starts to tingle and then hurt a lot, that's a sign.
I'm not as familiar with Tendonitis, but check on the med sites.
You can also try a chiropractor.

Is the pain worse at night? If so likely to be carpal tunnel.
You don't mention what you do job wise? If regular computer use this could be contributing.
For tendonitis we normally suggest some anti-inflammatory painkillers and a wrist support.
Looking at wider causes I would want to check for diabetes by doing a fasting blood glucose test. If indicated a check of your iron levels plus vitamin B12 and folate is useful.
In all I would suggest you see your GP.
