Question: I'm really athletic and i run a lot but my legs from the knee to the foot are like just about the same size. Is there a way to get more calf definition and a smaller ankle?

its my understanding that those are fat deposits, just like lovehandles. some people get it in specific places. someone else mentioned doing more calf exercises to give the appearance of bigger calves, but that will only do so much.
i think i would go with cardio with a plan to lose fat. itll probably be the last to go, but if you can work up to going for a jog every day for 1 hour, youll know if it does the trick. it could just be a genetic thing, and im pretty sure you can get it fixed with liposuction, but cardio is a way healthier and cheaper option, plus you get in better shape too

You can't get your ankle smaller but you can give the appearance of it being smaller by building up the rest of the leg.

Not really, especially if it's all muscle down there. You could try doing calf raises. It might give your calf muscles a little more definition. Otherwise, just love your legs and wear boots if you feel self concious. Good luck

I would try standing in one place and stretching up and down on my tip toes repeatedly. Heel lifts if you will.
I have a bodybuilder friend who does this and she has very defined calf muscles.

NOT REALLY, I CANT THINK OF ANYTHING EXCEPT FOR RUNNING AND YOUR ALREADY DOING THAT. MAYBE TRY LIFTING WEIGHTS....FOR EXAMPLE, HOLD THE BARBEL LIKE YOU WERE DOING SQUATS BUT GO BACK AND FORTH UP ON YOUR TIPPY TOES. ROLLERBLADING WORKS YOUR CALVES A LOT TOO.

well there are some genes which are passed on and it might be that no matter what you do, you will always have kankles however, i would try the 21 day detox diet (detoxification) and go on strict cardio and muscle definition exersises. rather that doing toe ups with a lot of weight try as many toe ups as you can with as little weight as you can mybe even just standing up with no wieght you could do them however it will require for a lot of toe ups maybe 1000 reps in a short period of time Im not sure because you do walk on your legs all the time

Calf raises. I used to use a universal military press station (standing) to do calf raises. Stand with your feet about shoulder length apart, support some weight (dumbbells or whatever) at shoulder height, rise up onto the balls of your feet (onto your toes), and slowly back down. This flexes your calf muscles and can help build muscle in that area.

You can do these exercises rolling your weight onto the outside of your foot and then up to your toes. You can also do it rolling your weight onto the inside of your foot and then up to your toes. This helps make the muscle building uniform across the calf muscle.

Steady yourself on a staircase, w/balls of feet on ledge. Extend & relax your feet, raising/lowering yourself several inches each time (pointing toes, to having feet go a little past horizontal). Do twenty reps every night. This will build your calf muscles right up.
