Have a constant pain in my lower left side, below the ribcage.?!

Question: Had it checked out with a scan, but nothing was found. The pain is dull and uncomfortable. Also, there is a gaseous sound in that area which I hear from time to time. It feels like my lower left side is under pressure. Any ideas? Been ongoing for about 18 months.
