Side effects from medication such as drowsiness are quite common. Some side effects are even worse.
Magnesium helps in some cases and there are no side effects apart from the runs if you take too much.
I wouldn't take them unless you really need them, and not if you are going out. Use them mainly when it is time to sleep.

Ibuprofen is a simple OTC anti inflammatory that shouldn't be causing drowsiness. Aside from that, only take them at night time when it's okay for you to go to sleep. I would talk to your Doctor about it making your sleepy though cause it shouldn't be doing that.
