Reaction to the chicken pox shot... is this normal?!
Question: I got a chicken pox shot the other day
and now there is a bump where i got my shot
and it is itchy
is this normal or is should i be worried?
it looks like a bug bite and is a little bigger than the size of a quarter.
it hurts when i touch it too :(

Normally a vaccination contains a weakened version of the actual virus, and the purpose of that is to get your body to build up the necessary antibodies to fight it off incase you are ever exposed to the actual virus. I think everyone usually gets some kind of bump or redness after getting a shot. Try not to itch it though, because it could make it worse...I would say that if it is still there after like a week, and not getting any smaller, to contact your doctor, but I really dont think that you have anything to worry about...
