I get this random shooting pain in my neck?!
Question: for some reason, along the collar bone on the right side of my neck, i randomly get a "plucking" sensation and then a shot of sharp pain. it happens really randomly and quickly...it's kind of embarassing because i jerk suddenly when it happens, from the pain i suppose. it's sort of a burning sensation but it happens really quickly, only for a second. it tends to happen every week or so. my aunt seems to have the same sensations in her hand if she puts pressure on it a certain way, but it doesn't seem to happen to me when i turn my neck a certain way or anything. it just happens. does anybody know what this is? it feels almost like my nerve is being "plucked". help?!

Could be as simple as just stress, if you've been overworking a lot. You may be not getting enough rest, or sleeping in a different position putting pain on the neck!
You may have pulled the muscle, the muscle on the neck is a very simple muscle to pull ,and can be painful when it is pulled. Rotate your neck lots to try and stretch it.
Other then that it doesn't sound like anything too serious. But if you are experiencing bad pain in the same area of the neck, that continues go see a doctor.
