I stepped on a nail today but already have my tetanus shot updated, should I wor!
Question: Just got my tetanus shot a few months ago (stepped on a random fish hook in the middle of the ocean, go figure). I stepped on a nail today and pretty much immediately disinfected the wound with alcohol. It is now bandaged with antibiotic cream slathered on it. No more pain, and I don't want to go to the doctor if I don't have to.
Of course I'd go to the doctor if I suspected infection, but do I have anything to worry about right this instant?

I work in Internal Medicine for a doctor. You should be fine. Good for you on keeping up with your Tetanus injections! Sounds like you did everything 100% correct. If it gets red or swollen (there will likely be some swelling anyways) head in to the doctor to have it checked out. You may end up needing some antibiotics--though it doesn't sound like it as you really took good care of the puncture quickly. Good job!!
Soaking your foot in Epsom salts will aid in healing, also draws any infection out.
