It takes a coordinated approach to effectively relieve not only the symptoms, but also reduce the virus that is causing these symptoms.

Not all the below are necessary to have relief, but a coordinated approach is always best. (but definitely include #1 below in any regimen)

1st: Take a Q-tip swab, or just a tissue, soak it in Listerine, alcohol or antiseptic. Swab into your nostrils up into the very tip. This is where the cold virus lives and multiplies, so you must kill them here. Only the inside tip around the front entrance to the nostrils is necessary. No need to go any further as the cold virus does not live or multiply there. Do this a few times per day. After only a short time you will feel some relief. Similar results to ZICAM brand of cold swabs, but I think the Listerine or other antiseptic acutally works faster and you don't have to spend the money for ZICAM.

2nd: Take two 1,000 mg Vitamin C. Thereafter, take one 1,000 mg per hour for the next 5 hours. If your nose is running and you take two Vitamin Cs, after 20 mins you will notice significant relief. The C is an anti-viral and will keep them from multiplying.

3rd: Take a Zinc tablet only ONCE per day. Zinc powerizes Vitamin C. Do NOT take every time you take C. Only once per day is more than sufficient.

4th: Take a long, hot shower. You have to get the chill out completely and equalize your body temperature. Just turning up the heat is not effective. First, take that shower and focus on the top and rear of your head.

5th: (Different option than #4) Take a long bath (preferably whirlpool bath) with Epsom salts. Use about 1 cup per normal size bath. Stay in and soak for around 45 minutes.

6th: Use the "Tylenol Cold Multi-Symptom SEVERE"in conjunction with any/all the above. It is a liquid with orange color and purple cap wrapping on it. It relieves 4 cold symptoms vs the 3 that most brands address and makes a substantial difference in both relief and energy.

7th: Effervescent tablets that you put on the floor during your shower. These put off vapors that mix with the steam. DO NOT put these in bath water and soak in them. There is a brand called "SHOWER SOOTHERS".

8th: Good ol' fashioned VICKS. I hate to rub the stuff on my chest, so before going to bed, I will just rub a small amount under my nose.

9th: Humidifier. You can buy one cheap at all pharmacies and many groceries have them, too. The use of heaters during the winter just takes too much moisture out of the air and makes you more symptomatic during colds.

10th: Chicken Soup. The wives tale has merit and really does act to relieve symptoms.

Colds are miserable. Remember they are caused by viruses. Every time you touch money, a door handle, a menu, an ATM, the VIDEO STORE, or do not rinse your milk jug and other items from the grocery once you get them home, you are subjecting yourself to other's germs. Alcohol hand wash is always a good thing to have in your car and a small one in your purse or pocket.

Sorry you're feeling bad. Hope the above is useful in some way for you.

take some soup some tynelol or advil and go back to sleep take pm pills

Could be migraine or sinus headache.

Take 2 Aleve or Advil Every 4 hours.
Put ice pack on back of neck while lying down.
Put lots of pressure with thumb over piercing pain area.Keep there & rub in clockwise direction for a minute then take off slowly. See if that helps.

Good luck

see a doctor, that is if you haven't been eating an apple a day. but if you have been eating an apple a day continue this sophisticated medication and

if pain persists SEE YOUR DOCTOR! and if you are blind HEAR YOUR DOCTOR!

might be sinusitis or just a beginning of a really bad cold. drink flu medicines and lots of orange juice and lots and lots of water. take vitamins too. get well!
