Broken toe but need to perform dance tonight!?!

Question: I either broke or cracked or sprained my baby toe on my right foot last Sunday while at dance rehesal. My show is tonight. I really want to dance but my foot is still really sore... Any ideas on how to make it through my 4 dances tonight? Oh yah, I am a belly dancer. Right now I have my toe taped up to my foot...

try taping your toe to your fourth toe, it will help stabilize it better, thats what we do for our patients, unfortunately if your toe is broken there isnt very much that can be done to help...if possible try not to dance tonight, you will be causing your toe a lot more strain and increase your healing time!....but definatley go see a podiatrist monday morning!

The only thing I can tell you now is this: do you think you can get through those performances tonight and not make it significantly worse and call you doctor tonight/tomorrow morning and make an appointment? Ice it, and elevate it. It may seem REALLY cold at first but if you endure it in should help make it feel better - but please put a towel or something inbetween your ice or ice pack and your skin. That make seem to block the cold out but if after about 20 minutes or so you don't feel anything make the separation thinner but don't get rid of it. I hope everything works out for you and your injury isn't significant!

don't disturb it or you will have a bad performance with your toe more sore and painful than before
