Help for arm pain?!

Question: I woke up this morning with a sharp pain in my left arm, going from my elbow to my shoulder. It hurts terribly to move it up or forward but not when i move it backwards or downwards. Just wondering if anyone had any suggestions for alleviating the pain quickly?

see if it gets better within the next few days and if it doesnt go to doctors.

that will have to heal by itself there is no other way!
