Cut In Half ...?!

Question: For those who have watched the film, "Ghost Ship", If you are cut in half through the waist, would you still be able to move about, talk or w/e for a short while? In the film, guliteen is cut threw everybody & their upper half slide of the bottom half & they seem to be able to function slightely.

Also, this may sound stupid, but do you think it would be painfull to be decapitated in any way or would you be totally numb for some reason if this were to happen? ...

I know I'll get somebody being funny lol ..

Thanks :)

Yes. The human body can live for several hours cut in half as long as they aren't losing blood. If the heart and lungs are not damaged, then the brain will still function. Creepy, huh? You would not be able to move about, though. Your head might, you might be able to talk, move your hands a bit, you might even not be in any pain...but you would not be doing much of anything else.... especially since your brain would be functioning... you would realize that any large motions might cause blood to leak out.... then you'd be dead.

With mass trauma (such as decapitation) you would probably not feel a thing. My brother's friend lost his arm in a car accident (a piece of glass sliced it off)... he said he didn't even know it was gone. Shock will block some pain. Bill's leg, on the other hand was torn up really bad. So, he didn't notice that his arm was GONE, but he says his chewed up leg hurt really bad. Strange, huh?

When I broke my arm, the only pain I felt was the scrape I had on my shoulder. Until I saw my broken arm, that is. Once I SAW it, I started crying and THEN it hurt. Totally delayed pain reaction from shock.

The body is a strange thing. I sliced my arm really bad in a little cooking accident. I was chopping a chicken with a butcher knife and the neighbors dog broke into my house and knocked me over. I cut my arm pretty bad, and also cut my leg.... Damn dog got the chicken, too! I didn't even notice the gash in my arm because the much less deep cut on my leg was hurting. Then I noticed that I was bleeding everywhere and that the inch-deep cut on my arm was much more serious. It didn't hurt until much later.

i think it is lovely we all one day should want to forever share everyt hought to gether and that is our oworlds key that it holds all the time that belongs to us

Wouldnt have thought walking and talking would be possible, but they do say that chickens run about a bit after their heads are cut off so who knows?

As for the pain, if the nerve endings were severed, then i suppose you wouldnt feel much pain.

Try and find a willing "guinea pig" conduct the experiment and let us all know your findings.

yeah usualy when that happens in the matter of seconds you'll b dead but in the last few moments alot of time sounds are made , like after being decapitated they still like blink and do scary thing for a bit...i dont think it would hurt all that much b/c it is so quick with the nerves

If it would happend to you, you will be shocked,
that u will be still alive by diing, too!
(till the blood is gone out of your Brain, and you 'll be dead!)
