NO, do NOT try to take it out by yourself!
OMG! He needs to get that removed IMMEDIATELY!
It can go in deeper or even move around and cause more damage--and BLIND HIM in that eye!

Which would he rather have---a visit to the doctor OR be BLIND in one eye!??

My husband had metal same thing, and it took the doctor 3 seconds to remove it and it did NOT HURT.

Go to the doctor that's the best way to get it out

flush flush flush flush the eye till it comes out if it does go to the er and if he doesnt want to do that tell him to get used to not seeing out of that eye

Uh can lead to BLINDNESS! He needs to go! Go to Wal Mart...and hit up the Optometrist there...They are HAPPY to see people

hunny you need to go to the doctors or hell go blind

The metal will eventually work deeper into the eye. He could possibly go blind or at the least get an infection. Knock him out and make him go to the hospital, just joking but you better make him go. Call his mom and tell on him!

Tell your brother to go and see a doctor or go to hospital immediately. Don't risk taking it out yourself. I have a friend who lost an eye from an infection caused by a piece of stone getting into his eye. I'm sure your boyfriend wouldn't want the same to happen to him.

You need to go to the hospital, this happened to my husband and they had to remove the metal there. Don't leave it or try to do it yourself as the eyes are delicate and you don't want to cause any damage.

He seriously needs to go to the eye doctor. He will run the very, VERY serious likelihood of going blind in that eye if he doesn't.

Still, try flushing it with eyedrops, even if you do go to the doctor. He needs to have it checked out regardless. It could get infected.

i once had a piece of sand that got rubbed into my eye and just couldnt come out, despite washing or rubbing or eye drops. My eye kept tearing and i went to the doc. He removed it with a small needle and it was painless. I recovered soon after. GO TO THE DOC. You've got only a pair of eyes and please take good care of it! It could lead to blindness or eye diseases if you just leave it there. Go NOW!

This is probably the craziest medical question I've ever heard....

If you have a piece of metal stuck in your eyes, you have an emergency condition. You could get it infected (likely result) and as a result, you could lose your eye sight.

This is not the time to be saying "don't want to go to a doctor" or trying to do it yourself. Go to an emergency room if you must, but get it examined by a doctor sooner than later.

Not doing so could result in loss of vision.

wata think!? he could go BLIND or he could get an infection. If i were you i would tell him we were going something special (if you can drive..) get him into the car but dont tell him where youre really going. tell him to close his eyes and dont peak. but really take him to the doctors and get him checked-out. he'll thank you later trust me

i'm sorry that he doesn't like doctors but this is very serious and he NEEDS to see a doctor...the health of his eye depends on it...my husband had a friend who got a piece of shrapnel in his eye over in iraq and almost lost his eye...he was at walter reed for months because of this...

do NOT let this go on another second without medical help.

tell him its a doctor on an eye patch...maybe that will help.

Your boyfriend may have trouble seeing at all. Go to a dr. You can try this. Pull his upper eyelash out and down and toward his nose. Then hold his nose and try to blow air with his nose. The back draft may dislodge the metal. It works sometimes.

the reason his eye hurts is because the metal has scratched the conjuctiva. He needs to go to the doctor, it will probably not dislodge itself. If he is stubborn, his eye will become infected and that is not good if you value your vision.

i work in a welding fabricating shop, sometimes whilst grinding steel bits shoot into your eyes,he definately needs to go to hospital.they will put drops of a cocaine based eye cleanser and iodine in his eye .the cocaine based drops take away the pain instantly and that gives the doctor or nurse time to get the bit out,the iodine will show up any scratches that the bit has caused.he will have to wear an eye patch for 24 hours then everything will be fine,if he doesnt sort it out he will get a blister on his iris that could lead to partial blindness.IM NOT LYING so please make him see sense.excuse the pun

don't be stupid.
go to a pro on that one.
oh just blindness.

simple, tell him he'll have to see a doctor eventually cause that piece of metal is not going down better yet coming out with out a fight the smallest abrasion to the lining of your eye can cause a severe infection and is not to be taken lightly, if that object is metal God knows what type it is and it may be releasing its particles into the blood stream, for example if it were lead it could cause a shock in his blood stream and may be very very very dangerous\...

I advise you to tell him to see a Doctor right away.If he is rubbing it and trying to get it out might en bed it further into the eye and cause it to be worst. You only get one pair of eyes so don't gamble with your eyes.

Good Luck
