Hip hurts after I run.?!

Question: For example, I took a 20 minute run today and when I was done my hip was hurting. Not a muscle, but almost like a joint. This sometimes happens after soccer too. It doesn't hurt when I'm running, just once I've stopped. Any ideas? Is there a way I can fix/prevent this?

I have the same problem...Try to find some exersizes on the internet to help strenthen the joint/muscle...I know it may not seem like the muscle that is hurting but it does help alot...You just need to continue with the exercises to strenthen and stretch your hip

Eat healthy and drink losts of water.
Maybe your body isn't used to it, everyones sides hurts.
It just shows that you're getting a workout :)

i think your best bet would be to stretch before and after you run or play soccer etc. also eating healthy and drinking milk can help

Is there something wrong with your feet? Do they have a arch? Cause it happens to me I for one don't got a arch and it hurts just go to those foot doctors and ask or your doctor.

maybe the best way to help that is to stretch a lot before you run

and drink lots of water too

if it still does not go away i recommend you see a doctor

that is all

I experience a similar thing... do you get any pain when you bring your knee towards you hip (hip flexion) or internally rotate?

It could also be a problem with your sacro-iliac (SI) joint... there are so many things it could possibly be, the pelvis is such a complex part of the body.

Is there any snapping of your hip at all?

Hope you feel better soon... hip pain is not fun.
