Help. I have a complex....?!

Question: I always massage peoples shoulders and backs and people say I have the touch and should go into massage. I know its true ; I provide relief for everyone. What I really want is someone to squeeze MY shoulders just for five minutes! But noone will. When I ask theyre too tired, too busy whatever. My boyfriend is the same. I think about this alot. I go to the chiro once in awhile but cant afford it and my neck and shoulders carry my tension. I think about this too much, how resentful I am that I always massage everyone and no one does me. Weird? I know. Any thoughts? Suggestions?

Maybe try the County Mental Health for counseling...find out why you feel the need to fix everyone and then become upset when you feel the need to be fixed and don't get what you want in return(by the way, have you ever told these people there are no freebies? There are conditions?)...Or, simply Stop all of it, get your license and go to work in a physical therapists office..get paid for it~~and the vicious circle ceases!! (Then you'll have the dollars to pay someone professional to help you out when you're in need) My Best to YOU

yes, massage me!

I dunno...I charge a massage for a massage. I don't get one, you don't either. Unless I just feel like giving one.

Get a better boyfriend and friends? lol I mean, I massage people's shoulders and backs, too, if I can see that they are tense and in need, and especially if they ask. Some people are just really inconsiderate about that sort of thing.

next time they ask you, tell them to go to hell. Things should always go both ways, and you should always try to take care of the people who take care of you.

I am the exact same way and I've learned that if you only agree to do it if they'll give you a message first it usally works...no one can rub my shoulders the right way for me but a little less tension is always good

You should ask. I give people massages sometimes too. But to get people to massage me, I say things like wow my neck is sore, or im really stressed out right now, i could use a massage, people usually get the hint. I find I get massages from close open-minded friends, maybe you don't have enough of those. Try to get your bf to massage you for 5 minutes, then you'll massage him for 5 mins. Fair deal right.

ill give you one

Yeah, I can understand that frustration. I would just suggest that you actually explain this to someone close to you, like your boyfriend. Have you? If you haven't then he wouldn't really know that this is really affecting you so much, and probably is clueless. I think once you do explain it, then he wouldn't have any problems massaging you. However, if you have and he still won't do it, which would be an extreme shock to me if I were you being that he should care more about you, then, I'm sorry, but he's a lousy boyfriend.
