Ouchh pleasee help!?!


Question: Okay so i got my apendix taken out a couple months ago and the scar is still really red!! and it sticks out alot and it hurts badly sometimes when i push on it! i went to the doctor and he said i developped a ridge when it was healing nothing serious! but does anyone know why it may still be hurting, and a good way to take the redness away? maybe a good scar cream?

It still hurts because the tissue underneath is still healing. It will take time. Part of the reason it still hurts is there are more nerve endings in your skin than anywhere else on your body.

The redness and pain will ease as time goes by. That is something that happens to some people and not to others, basically a mystery.

I don't know much about scar creams as I have so many I've given up. However I have heard great things about Mederma from a lot of friends that have used it. I understand that it may be pricey as someone said above me, however if you are real concerned of lessening the prominence of the scar, it may be worth the price.

Scar Guard works well for cuts, my doctor recommded it. After my stitches fell out I use twice a day on my incisions from an operation.

try Mederma. it's pricey, but i hear it works well.
