a long soak in the bath, or jacuzzi, and some heat treatment, ie.
deep heat ointment/spray baby.
get better soon.

You can get these back pads, that you heat in the microwave and apply to your lower back from Boots, try them!

Depends if it is muscular or bone related. I would first advise seeing your GP.

I have muscular back pain and my GP recommended Pilates. This was really good because it helped to relax and strengthen my muscles.

When the pain kicks in the most important thing is rest - do not continue to work through the pain and continue as 'normal' because you'll only make it worse. Warm compress can also help to ease pain. A warm bath and try some ibruprofen.

If you have been having this pain for some time, and normal ibroprofen or pain killers are not taking the pain off I would definatly consider visiting a phisiotherapist. My partner had really bad lower back pain, that seemed to go on for some time and so decided to seek medical advice.

Although it sometimes can be fairly expensive, it is well worth going to see a professional. His back pain eased every time he went and eventually disappeared after a few weeks. Although it occasionally comes back after exercise or sports, its no way as bad as it was for him. Its best to get it looked out asap, you dont want to spend your life hunched over in pain.

Please make sure you seek advice, and get a recommended professional, if there good they will try a number of different techniques, such as accupuncture, stretches and exercises to ease the areas.

You need to try to find out the cause of this pain if you havent already. Exercises to strengthen the lower back may be beneficial and making sure your posture is fine. Make sure you are lifting and moving without straining your back

My doctor prescribed some anti-inflammatory cream. A hot water bottle at night was also recommended.
