Giving up smoking & constant colds!?!

Question: My boyfriend gave up smoking at the New Year, after 20 years of smoking. The problem is, he has had a constant cold since & has been generally feeling unwell.

He says that he was never ill when he was smoking and is seriously considering taking up the dreaded weed again.

I really don't want him to start again, mainly for his health and also because an uncle of mine died from lung cancer.

Does anyone else have any experience of being unwell since giving up, know when it should pass, or have any advice on how to keep the immune system up?

Many thanks.

These are not unknown symptoms for people quitting smoking..
Basically his immune system is settling into a new routine.
Just eat a varied diet of healthy food and it should pass soon.

Tell him to take plenty of vitamin c and it should pass in time, its probably the toxins leaving his body if he can wait it out he will begin to feel a whole lot better!

Good Luck!

It is because his nasal passages are working better and his allergies are acting up this is normal when a person quites smoking
