How long does it take for a black eye to go away?!

Question: there I was minding my buisness when the direct tv remote ( we know how bug that is ) was dropped on my face, as a result of too much playing, my eye is black, it is right on my cheek bone. I applied ice immediately and it went down and turned a green color, but two days later it is fully black.

W T F do I do, my daughter's open house is tonight, and I do not want to go there looking like a victim bc I'm not.

Thanks

A black eye (or any bruise) happens when small blood vessels under the skin get broken and leak blood out into the skin. Eventually your body will re-absorb the blood and the black eye will go away, but unfortunately there's no way to speed up the process. Your best bet is concealment with a very good make-up job.

haha
well if it's tonight you can forget it...
wear makeup?

Make up guurrrrrl! If it's already black, your on the mend. About another 5 day's. Play hard/Pay hard. But it's worth it.

This will speed up the healing process alot, not overnight though, but rub aspirin on it and the aspirin will break up the blood clots so it will heal alot faster. DO NOT LET THE ASPIRIN TOUCH YOUR ACTUAL EYE.
