How do you get rid or migraines?!

Question: I dont have health insurance.

Answers: I dont have health insurance.

As a massage therapist I work with many clients with migraines.

You have to look at what could be causing them.
The biggest thing is that it is a side effect of many common medications like birth control pills.

The next thing is food allergies. Common allergens are dairy , gluten, but even fruits or any food can become an irritant. I had one client who was allergic to oranges and another it was bananas.

Muscle tightness and stress can cause migraines.

Use two tennis balls in the foot of a sock and roll along the base of your head where it meets the spine (on the head bone part) while laying on your back on the floor.

Use ice on the back of the neck.

Some people have success with drinking caffeine at the onset of a headache but that could also lead to more or be a cause of headaches. Withdrawal from cafeine can cause them.

Track what you eat, how much you sleep, what you are thinking and feeling to see what is causing them.

excedrin migraine

There is a med called Midrine that is fairly cheap. Its Tylenol mixed with a mild sedative. It works best if you take right when you feel one coming on.

ive had chronic migranes since i was 6. Excedrin and sleep are the only ways that ever worked for me.

There is a very old medicine called Indocin that helps quite a bit with migraines. I do believe that it is on the $4 prescription list at Wal-Mart, you might want to check into that.

Besides that, a cool or warm cloth either or on the front or back of your neck, while immediately laying down has helped me repeatedly.

Very easy.
Reasons and remedies are many, but pl see what suits you.
If you are in cold country use all warm things.

If you have cough/cold body hot water bath will help.
Massage and exercise in front of morning sun is good thing, pl try.
Pl try simple acupressure given below for immediate relief.

There is hardly any medicine for H/A OR MIGRAINE. Not only these but for RA, OA, Back ache, Ear ache/ringing, Stomach ache and almost all painful diseases. Hence they become chronic.

Acidity, WORRY, sadness, excessive wind, cold , heat, sour food and sinusitis, constipation, intestinal inflammation; drug side effects, stress, bad smell, TV & COMPUTER SOMETIMES, Blockage in the flow of Vital Energy, BODY CONSTITUTION etc are their causes.
None of them can be treated with medicine.
Our 100% success in treating migraine &H/A confirms it.

Acupuncture is the best treatment.
I can treat it with naturopathy and YOG, but how can you manage pl see.

Pain killers don't treat the pain but we loose the sense of pain for some time; in that duration our body itself treats sometime and credit goes to meds.
The useless drugs have tremendous power of side effects like liver/kidney failures, ulcer, inflammation of intestines and lot more.

Avoid late sleeping if possible; worry, tension, spicy foods, sour fruits, stale bakery foods, all cold things, smoking and alcohole.

Sweet foods, COCOANUT WATER,sweet fruits like dates, milk, rice, SPROUTS, SALADS and good sleep will help if cough is not there. If cough use warm things.

If it is acute pl search a painful point (with round tipped pen/jimmy) 3-6 mm behind your thumb nail and press it, H/A will disappear within 30 seconds.

For forehead/eye pain the points are in front of nails on the finger tips or 3-7 mm below.

It may disappear naturally too.

That depends on the severity of your migraine. If it is not often, that is to say, not more than a week or 2 times a month, you can just buy over the counter pain medication and settle with it.

However, if your migraine is frequent, you will need to start on preventatives. You can get generic beta blockers for a start. Propranolol might help. Other drugs like amitriptyline or gabapentin work for others as well.

See what works within your budget and helps relief your migraine then choose your option. Hope you feel better
