How do markers make you high?!

Question: ok i just dont get it?what makes them so strong?does that even realy work b/c i have ppl in my 7th hour that sniff expo markers and sharpies all the time but it doesnt seem to effect them!?!

I'm not really sure what they put in them, but enough of the scent can make you high, it's like sniffing rubbing alcohol, that's what it smells like to me anyway. It isn't good for you though, be careful
