I need your advice please acl knee....?!


Question: i tore my acl first time may 2007
i got surgery june 2007
(i was doing taekwondo)

was doing fine until last month when i started taekwondo again and i partially tore it again

and today i was in gym class
and i jumped up high
and landed on my left leg (my bad one)
and my knee popped and i fell
so i guess i tore it comepletely

do you think i should get surgery again?
by the way. for you people who dont know
surgery sucks!!!!!

last time i had it i was on crutches for 1 month
lost about 20 pounds
leg muscle all gone (especially left leg)
and not to mention the pain!!!!

i love lifting weights
and i hate when somthing happens that affects my strenght
like last time i got surgery
my bench went from 205 to like 175
my arms got smaller
etc

do you think i will develop arthritis if i dont do surgery?
should i get srugery?

yes you should definatly get it its best even if it does hurt really bad it will make your futre better

I think that's something you're definitely going to have to discuss with an orthopedic surgeon. But if you've blown it again... chances are you're going to need it again. Yes, that sucks, but it's better than never walking right?

Are you weight bearing at all??

yeah you probably need it I have had it and it sucks but you will more than likly have to switch to either a lighter routine or possibly stop completly
