How long does a black eye last?!
Question: how long does it take for a black eye to go away? i got hit in the eye with a cell phone pretty hard. it just happened last night and its swollen and purple under my eye . it looks like my and half of my cheek looks like its turning purple also.

about a week depending on how sensitive you are.
It'll last a few days, at least.

it depends upon how bably the capilaries have been burst. if the bruise is only light purple, i'd say 4-5 days
if its a dark purple and nearly black i'd say 8-9 days
dont cover it up with make up though that can makew it look worse

It will drain down your face as time progresses, so get used to the idea of having a blue-green green-yellow tint under that eye an the corresponding area of your face as time goes by.

A black eye is just the broken vessels under your skin that result in a trauma (accident) or just a fist.
When you consider both, I guess that it all depends on how bad was the blow to it and how fast the vessels will regenerate again.
Anyway, it is not a good thing to have.
3 to 5 days... the fastest way to get rid of it is to keep ice on it 20 minutes on 20 minutes off. good luck..and what happened? was someone showing you their theft security on their phone like that guy on the commercial?

i saw your other question and i know that your bf hit you. the bruise will last only a week but the emotional scar will last much longer. if you were to report him you know that you could charge him with assult and battery. i sure hope that you do and put the letter x before bf. tell someone. he doesn't care about you if he hurt you!!!sure he says he will never do it again (i pray he doesn't) one a liar always a liar. someone out there cares about you and would never hurt you THAT IS NOT love :( dump the loser who hurt someone who doens't deserve it and find mister right. i am sure that he (mr. right) is searching for you too :)
