Chronic headache won't go away? medical assistance pls!?!

Question: Hi, for about the last month or so i've had a chronic headache that won't really ever go away. it varies between a throbbing ache and a dull pain and always at the front of my head - behind my forehead. it feels - and i can't think of a better way to describe it - as if my brain is being strangled.
its sort of a "hung over" kind of feeling too - makes me feel groggy and sensitive to bright lights and loud noises.
it is often coupled (at its worst) by an almost insatiable thirst for water. if i drink some it lessens the tension but the ache never really goes away.
i'm always on the loo now because i'm drinking so much water, yet the headaches still keep coming back
they go away completely with a couple of paracetamol tabelets but i don't like to keep taking them
i probably drink about 3-4L of water a day, and eat relatively healthily, although i am a little overweight (10kg-ish) for my height.
if anyone has any solutions/suggestions i'd really appreciate it as i'm starting to freak out

pain, sensitivity to light and noise and so on,sound like classic migraine headache symptoms,a common problem especially in women, due to monthly hormone fluctuation>(do ur headaches get worse just b4 ur periods?thats typical of migraines in women, tho it can occur other times of the month as well.)paracetamol wont help with migraines,u need a "triptan" or "ergotomine" drug,u will need to see ur dr,tell him/her ur symptoms and get effective migraine meds .believe me,u will feel better!check ur blood sugar as well.increased thirst and dull headache is also a sign of diabetes.dont worry too much about it,tho-i have increased thirst with my migraines, but my blood sugar is fine.still,u really need to check it out, just in case.please see ur dr. asap, migraines can be managed with proper meds!good luck, hope u r better soon!

Sounds to me like you have had a migraine.
I would see a doctor for a prescription.
After my first migraine my symptoms were very similar and took several weeks to go away.

You really should be seen by a Doctor. There could be a serious problem there, such as Diabetes or may be something more serious.

I am sorry you're feeling bad, you should really see a doctor, it may be something simple, but you wont know until you are seen by someone. Plus, not knowing is awful, you start thinking crazy stuff & freak out when it can be as simple to fix by getting a prescription.
