Can nicorette patches make your arm ache?!

Question: when i had them they made wherever i put them feel "dead" - like my arm felt heavy or my leg felt a bit odd.

but you do get used to them after a while, give it time. if not then look into trying another form of nrt, like gum or losenges.

also - dont put the patch on the same place everytime. you should put it somewhere different every day - for example, one day right arm, next left arm, next a leg, next your back, shoulder, bum, whatever.

if you put it on the same place every day it will make it feel worse and worse!

if not try something else, there are other options which may suit you better.

leana - thats more likely to be a reaction to the adhesive on the patch.

Yes and give you sleepless nights

Yes they can. I tried it one day and I got a rash where the patch was and it itched because of all the stuff it puts in your body.

Oh yes! I used to have it so bad that I used to put it on my hips preferring my leg to ache than my arm. It also used to make me nauseous so much so that I actually threw up from them. Worst was the dreams at night. Also my skin would have a swollen red square that would stay for nearly a week afterwards. Eventually went back to pharmacist who said the patch was too strong even though I was a heavy smoker. I switched to one that wasn't 24 hours and it was much better. Good luck if you are trying to give up smoking!
