Cortisone shot?!
Question: last afternoon i had a cortisone shot in the top of my left foot, the joint of the big toe for tendinits. over 24 hours later, my foot and ankle aren't necessarily painful (although i do get a few moments of the typical tendinitis pain shooting through the area, but not frequently) but the foot and ankle are totally numb causing me to limp. it's very uncomfortable. i still haven't uncovered the shot site.
is this normal?

When I got a cortisone shot in my wrist it did not get numb at all. I had a burning sensation immediately following the shot and it only lasted about 10 to 20 minutes. I'm not sure why you still have the shot site covered, but I do not think it's normal at all for your foot and ankle to be numb. Call the doctor and inform them of this!
Sounds like they went into your nerve. It will heal. Very painful.
