My back 2...odd question about excercising while bed ridden?!


Question: ok, so im bed/chair ridden for the next couple of days (dr.'s orders) in regards to my last question about my back. (see here for details if you want, http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;... )
I was hoping she would tell me how to just fix it or something so i could exercise again, but no. So...are there any types of "exercise" type movements to do while lying in bed? (Not sex, I am unfortunately not able to thrust properly lol) Im just really trying to buckle down to get in top shape for soccer tryouts soon.

I never, ever want to hear you say that you can't have sex again. Ever! haha... You don't need to be able to thrust, she can be on top. It'll still get your heart rate up... juuust putting that out there ; )

Annnyway, I'm not really sure what else you can do... pretty much any kind of leg, ab or arm strengthening exercise is going to strain your back and obviously you can't go running or anything like that. I really think the only thing you can do is just wait until you're feeling better and then slowly start working out again so you don't f*ck your back up.

  • if you have someone else in your immediate area you should have them try this on you . . . lay on your side pillows under the top leg so your hip and leg come to the same height as the rest of your body the top leg should be bent at the knee and the bottom leg straight then have the someone place their palm on your iliac crest, fingers facing toward the front of your body and their other palm on your grater trochanter, fingers facing towards the outstretched foot and press slightly and give it a light stretch if done properly this should help your back realign its self
