You'll need to talk to a lawyer. Different states have different "statutes of limitations" (the length of time after which a crime is committed in which you can still bring a complaint to court) for different offenses.
your partner being boyfriend? If you are doing this to get revenge, not a good idea, how bad were you hurt. If you were going to do something it should have been done right then. Now would be too late, evidence?

yeah you can because if you have only just recovered if you have proof that he/she did it then you are eligible to do so you could plead that you wasn't In a physical or emotional state to press charges
Just be careful. Unless you want to potentially ruin his/her life and tie yourself up in court too, don't do it. Most people don't realize that once you set something like this in motion, you cannot stop it.
