Is it normal for ribs to "click"?!

Question: About 10 years ago, I fell out of bed and wedged myself between my bed and my dresser. As well as injuring my shoulder (that was part of a different question), my ribs on the side that hit the dresser (my left) were sore for a while after that. Ever since then, it feels as though my 10th or 11th rib on my left side clicks if pressure is put on it or if I stretch. It is not usually painful, but sometimes it's a little uncomfortable and I was just wondering if this was normal.

I have it happen all the time....I had an injury to my T6 and T7 (bones in spine) and for some reason, the ribs that are connected to them - where they meet at the sternum, they click quite often. You can literally feel them move when they do that clicking bit....(especially when I twist the body to one side or the other). Every once in a while it will be downright bothersome for a couple days.

Every MD I have seen has said "thats crazy - not possible" but on the other hand, DO's (doctors of osteopathy) have been actually able to "pop" it back into place when it gets to be a sharp pain (I have seen a couple specialists in sports medicine - its called a positional release technique - apparently, they see this sort of thing all the time)

Don't worry - its common enough.

i just started learning abut the human skeleton(im in 7th grade) and as far as i know there should be cartalage in betwene them, so i would say that is not good?...but don't rely on my becaouse i don't know for sure.
