that's a healthy blood pressure, especially considering he is on dexedrine (i.e., adderall). the pulse is a bit high for a fourteen-year-old (since they aren't desk-bound 12 hours a day kids have more time to exercise, 70-50 would be much better than 96 bpm) although that might be the dexedrine. 20 respirations a minute is high, but again, it could be the dex.

The pulse is a little high, but everything else is pretty good. That BP is great: the healthy range is anything lower than 135/80.

For a long time the rule of thumb has been 100 plus your age, over 70. The BP you describe is excellent for a 14 year old. The pulse rate is a bit high, but that could be caused by the meds and is nothing to worry about. Just make sure he's getting some daily exercise.

No

This is quite normal and you should not worry unless this child is showing signs of unresponsiveness.

You should be concerned with blood pressure when and if the bottom number is 50 or lower.

If the bottom number is 50 or lower, this is an indication that something is wrong within the body such as dehydration.

Hope this helps you.

Your BP is excellent. Although 120/80 is normal and acceptable 110/60 is much better. Over 140/90 is too high and needs treatment. The ideal BP is actually 90/60 but anything lower could be low BP if a person suffers from faintness and actual fainting spells.

Your ideal weight would be 121 lbs, so 125-130 lbs is fine. Over 140 lbs could be regarded as overweight.

Your pulse is a bit high as the normal pulse at rest is between 60 and 80. Some superfit athletes actually have a pulse as low as 50 or even 45 but most people have a pulse over 60.
