Scoliosis and dizziness plz helpppppp?!
Question: hi, im 13 years old and was diagnosed with scoliosis a month ago.....i think ive had scoliosis for a while cause about 3 or 4 years ago my gym teacher noticed my spine wasnt straight..... for about a year now nearly everytime i get up i go dizzy and it has got worse the last 3 months.... also if i stretch my back i go dizzy aswell sometimes its to an extent that i fall over...
i have another checkup in 2 weeks...should i mention my dizziness???
can dizziness and scoliosis be related???

YES, mention your dizziness to your doctor, although it may be more of a problem for your family doctor. Your heart/lungs may have problems (which may be related to scoliosis, or may not...depending on how bad the curve is), or your ears may have problems. Your ears are where your balance is controlled. Besides squeezing your heart and lungs, I haven't ever heard of dizzyness and scoliosis being related.
