Ankle sprains and shoulder injuries are the most common injuries seen in volleyball players. Ankle sprains generally occur from coming down strange from jumping, or stepping on other players.

Volleyball players tend to have quite a few chronic shoulder problems, especially with the rotator cuff. However, these can be minimized through the use of pre-season shoulder strengthening programmes.

Volleyball players are prone to ankle injuries, that's why many players where braces on their ankles all the time. All the jumping can set you up for ankle injuries. Or, you can be like me, and roll your ankle running after a ball. Tendonitis in your wrist is common too..mainly from serving.

You can get all types of injuries. You can hurt your knees and ankle also. I sprained my ankle a few times playing.

I actually broke a girls arm in high school during a practice one time. I had a real hard serve. I served the ball she stuck one arm out to get it and broke her arm. I was horrified that I caused that,
