Two days?! It was a week for me!Everyone else I know too. I mean, when you first get them on. Sores will happen, even as you're a year into braces. I think my mom gave me Benidril, but any pain killer medicine should do. I hope your mouth feels better soon! Good luck!

The pain shouldn't last more than two days. I would suggest you suck it up, but if it really does become unbearable, there should be an ointment your orthodontist gave you. I got a small tube of minty novocaine-like stuff. It makes your gums numb, and I found the feeling actually kind of uncomfortable. And if you didn't get anything like that from your orthodontist, maybe you could check a local pharmacy or something, or go back to your orthodontist's.

honestly there is nothing you can do at night but just fall asleep and live with it and if you cant do this as your orthadontist to lossen it up just a little bit cause you cant sleep at night..

It will not last. If your Orthodonist did not give you anything, get an over the counter numbing agent. An ice pack may help...if it is swollen.

Try meditating and focuss on your breathing, nothing else...Inhale through your nose and exhale through your mouth...Allow yourself to relax starting from the top of your head and work your way down to your feet.

All you think about is breathing and relaxing. Go to your forehead, then your face and so on...

If all else fails, ask mom if she can get you something to help you fall asleep...
