You should call the surgeon who did your surgery. They will want to know about it. Someone from that office will be on call even if it is a holiday weekend. You can also go up to the emergency room and at least they can give you some more antibiotics and something for the pain. I still think you realy should call the doctor who identified the infection in the first place. Just call their office. Probably an answering service will answer and they'll connect you to whoever's on duty. I went through this with my younger daughter and she had knee surgery. A couple of months after knee surgery her knee swelled up and started hurting a lot and it was Thanksgiving weekend. I called the doctor's office and they put me on hold and connected me with the doctor on call. Good Luck. Hope you feel better soon!

Doctors and Dentists have afterhour/emergency contacts, call those, if not call the hospital, the surgeon etc.
I remember seeing the MRI (at least it was a movie x-ray, is that what an MRI is? I was like 12) of my mom's jaw when she was getting ready for jaw surgery (TMJ) the brain is right there, I saw it in the "movie" and an infection that close to the brain is so dangerous.
