Why are my knees creeking and cracking?!
Question: Im 27 and I started to go to the gym a little over a year ago. I was going to build muscle because I'm of a slender built. Anyway after a while I noticed my right knee making a creeking, cracking noise if I bend at the knee to pick something up. The noise bothered me but since it never hurt I didn't put much mind to. I'm just worried now that this could get worse with my exercising. My exercise routine is usually 30 min on the eliptical ( alternating bike and running sometimes) and another 45 on weights. I do this about 4 to 5 days a week. The creeking and cracking seems to be getting worse because now I can clearly hear it when I bend at the knees as oppose to before when I looked for the noise to hear it. What could be the cause of this creeking and should I be concerned even though there's no pain ever.

You need a joint support nutrient such as Glucosamine (available from supermarkets & pharmacies). This supplement has inproved my knees 10 fold.
Glucosamine helps build and repair cartilage
However, it does not work for everyone & also contains shell fish so if your allegic, health food shops have other alternatives.
Ask your doc or pharmacy for advice if you are unsure.
Also I have found swimming or water aerobics very helpful =)
I have this too and I'm 16. :P
don't worry, there's nothing wrong with you. i myself inherited my dad's cracky joints. my knees and ankes can crack from just standing up. i'm also a runner and it can be annoying hearing your ankle crack at every step. i highly doubt there's anything wrong with you. if it starts to hurt when your joints crack, go see a doctor. no one here can help you with that.
best of luck!
