Top of ankle is burning?!

Question: So, the front of my left ankle has been burning (hurting, but a burning sensation) for about two weeks now. I think that's where a ligament is if I learned anything from health class in high school. But if not: it's the very top, where the curve is. It hurts just when I place it flat against the ground, or when I wear shoes without arch supports. This was never a problem before. I wore my sneakers with arch supports as I exercised with them or wore them for long periods, and then my cheap shoes without that couldn't fit them. Now the cheap shoes hurt.

Using a treadmill, standing, walking, anything like that is fine. Just keeping my foot flat on the ground burns and stings so badly. I don't want to go to the doctor if it'll go away in a week, which is why I'm asking here. I figured it's a sprain or something but it won't go away, and it won't get any worse or any better. It's annoying. Oh! And there's no swelling at all.

And please don't answer, "I don't know." It's rude. Thanks!

you either hurt the muscle, ligament/tendon, or a slight crack in the bone. ice it and see what happens and try and keep it immobilized as much as possible, and wrap it up to brace it as much as possible when you are having to walk around. No jogging. It should improve if not then you need to go to the doc.

Try an ice pack

I think you need to go the doctor and have it x-rayed. Sounds like some type of nerve damage to me.

Well maybe you pulled a muscle?

I dont know. Ask a doctor.

Asking medical advice on this dill-hole of a website is probably dangerous.
