Anyone with celiac, please read...?!

Question: Hi guys, I've been experiencing symptoms similar to celiac disease. I was wondering for those of you that have it, if you could read over my list of symptoms and see if they sound familiar to your's:

*Indigestion/GERD/heartburn/gurgling in throat (everyday. Especially after eating meals or getting over excited)
*Constipation
*"Attacks" of diarrhea with this fatty looking mucus stuff that sometimes floats at the top of the water. Sometimes is bloody. Smells different and bad when this happens
*Dizzy spells (have gotten them since elementary school)
*Constant fatigue
*Muscle spasms/painful cramps in legs/feet, hands/arms
*Slight nausea while/after eating sometimes
*Clothes are getting looser, but scale says I weigh the same
*Weakness
*Abdominal spasms/cramps
*White looking things in stool (had a stool sample, it's not worms, said it was food particles)
*Painful mouth sores
*Menstrual irregularity (Has been this way since I first got mine @ age 11, am now 20)

Additional Details

*Constant burping/passing gas, especially after eating.
*Celiac levels were slightly raised
*WBC count was slightly raised.
*Tingling in fingers

Everyone insists that it's IBS, but I don' think IBS should make me feel all these things. I have ocd and such. But it seems as if everyone just disregards me. I know what I feel like when I'm stressed. This just feels different. I feel like something more is going on. I was supposed to have an endoscopy and a colonoscopy, But I was paranoid about the tools not being properly sterilized. What do you all think could be going on? Thanks!

Ok... first of all....do not be scared about getting a endoscopy (egd)! Every single person who handles those scopes are trained in how to sterilize the equipment. Whoever told you that does not know what they are talkig about. Secondly- being as your celiac levels were slightly raised - there is a reason why you MD is suggesting that you have the procedure done. The BEST way to test for celiac is to have a biopsy of the area where the small bowel and the stomach meet- and the only way of doing that is by having and endoscopy. It is a QUICK simple procedure that last only minutes.
Celiac won't explain all of your symptoms- as far as your period goes- you need to see your OB/GYN- have your horomone levels checked.
The other thing you should ask for is a test for mono- that could explain your fatigue and painful mouth sores.
I hope this helps.

I don't suffer from celiac, but my mother does. It only became active about five years ago in her, and she became extremely sick. What you're describing doesn't sound particularly like celiac. Have you tried eliminating gluten from your diet? If you really want to find out, you have to get a piece of your intestine analysed. A homeopathic doctor might be able to help you figure out if you have celiac- that's what my mother did. The only things that sound familiar are the nausea, and weakness. My mother also lost a lot of weight because gluten makes up a large part of the typical diet.
Personally, I wouldn't think you have it. But people do react differently, and it's possible I just witnessed a severe case.
Good luck finding out what it is!

Let go of your fear and paranoia and get the procedures done. They have come a long way with these tools and they are very, very expensive due to the caliber of sensitivity and clarity which provides live views for the doctors to look at and tape for review.
