vasaline
i promise.

and licking your lips makes it soo much worse.

um proably not.
use petoleum jelly.
its stronger then chapstick.

Yes! You better slather up with some vaseline or lose the fan! ;-)

What usually causes chapped lips is not drinking enough water. Your lips dry out because you're dehydrating. Try adding more water to your diet and it will help. Wind is a cause of chapped lips but I don't think a fan would cause it.

Sometimes if its too hot or too cold you get chapped lips.
I usually get them when its cold.
I don't think its 100% the fan that would be causing this.
And I agree, petroleum jelly will work.
You probably won't want to make it seem as if you're wearing gloss, so don't go overboard ;)

yeah, the fan is probably the culprit. but, there's an easy fix. plain, old fashioned petroleum jelly. just smear it on before you go to sleep for the night. after you brush your teeth, take a small amount from the jar and smear it on and around your lips. in the morning, your lips will be good as new.

if it doesn't work, go to walmart and in the baby section of health and beauty aids, you can get a tube of 'Boudreaux's Butt Paste'. it sounds nasty, but it works wonders. you can use it on chapped skin anywhere. (my hands were extremely dry from too much washing in winter cold, and i rubbed them down with it at night and by morning, they were soft again) it's non-toxic, as long as you're not eating it.

but either one will clear the chapped lips up overnight. if they are really severe, it may take two or three nights. you may want to put the petroleum jelly on every night after you get the chapped part under control, to prevent it from happening again.

this sounds odd,
but get a soft washcloth, or an old toothbrush and some petroleum jelly
and scrub off the dead part of your lips
or make a scrub out of olive oil and brown sugar and scrub them.
then keep applying chapstick or petroleum jelly
worked for me

It may sound gross but shorting (Crisco) works great, just a light coating(if your lips are shinny then it's too much). I also like natural Beeswax from wal-mart. I can't use anything that is medicated. The could be some of the problem so don't have it blow on your face and don't lick your lips. Your saliva is meant to brake down food by licking your lips its just making worse.

CARMEX.........best thing ever invented.

Yes it may be if you lick your lips a lot. I use to when I was little and that was what caused me to have chapped lips. I don't think the fan is the problem. But using vaseline will help. I use it just to kep my lips nice and soft=) apply at night if u don't want to use it during the day and use chapstick during the day. Avoid licking you lips and using other peoples chapsticks
