Ear plugs in bed?!

Question: I wear ear plugs in bed and find that I cannot sleep without them in. I wake up in the moring and my left ear is sore I assume because of the plug. I left it out for a couple of night but now it's sore again. Is there anyway to prevent this other than not wearing them?

Try a different type of earplug. I use silicone earplugs for swimming. They don't go into you ear canal so maybe they wouldn't make your ear sore.
