they are too different drugs. It depends what sort of pain I'm in. Muscle= ibuprofin (Advil, but I use generics) and for headaches I use Excedrin (the same drug as in Tylenol but with caffeine).

She should either ask for a specific ailment (back ache or headache etc) or keep the same drug and different brand names-- Tylenol or Excedrin. That'd have less variables to confuse her results.

Advil - it's coated

I would prefer advil!!

Advil- It's gel coated so it's easy on the tummy

tylenol

Tylenol, definately.

advil

I usually take Advil but to be honest I never notice a difference!

they are both bad for the body but i prefer tyenol,
well i have taking it my whole life and it really truly work,
advil eats at your digestive system and burns it and ruins it.
tyenol has bad effects to but is not as bad,
hope this helps
=D

Tylenol Because acetaminophen works better for me. I am immune to ibuprofen.

Advil is better for body aches, Tylenol is better for the head. I am going to vote on Advil because it reduces inflammation.

the main difference is that Advil will help reduce swelling because the main ingredient is ibuprofen which is an anti-inflammatory. Tylenol is more popular and safer, however, because it can be taken with other medications and is OK for children.

It depends on what I am using it for. Tylenol is acetaminophen and Advil is ibuprofen. Acetaminophen is used for fever and ibuprofen is for pain. I have more pain than I do fevers, so therefore I would have to say I prefer Advil.

definately Tylenol, because it works faster.

I prefer Advil.
I get lots of headaches from a sore neck - and Advil is an anit-inflamatory. It works GREAT!!!!

if your diabetic, Tyleno, my grandma is diabetic and her doctor told her that Advil Ruins somthing in her body, and since she is diabetic, advil could kill her. Plus tylenol really helped me when i had a fever

Advil, it works better for me.

Doctors at the hospital always recommend Tylenol because it is safer to use and less harmful for kids. There is no side effects and very few warnings on the package. I get migraines very often and this always helps me feel better and quicker than any other brand. It is also safer for your liver. It is always good to switch pain relievers every once in a while though so that you do not become immune to a certain medication and it still works. I never feel funny after I take Tylenol and it always has helped me all 16 years of my life. Doctors recommend it, my mom trusts it, and so do I! It is all persona preference though and everyones reacts differently to medication. You are nice to be helping your friends daughter with her project. Tell her I said good luck! and to have fun with her project!

Tylenol is gentler on the stomach, but advil helps with swelling and stuff. It really depends on what kind of pain, but I prefer the easy to swallow coated tylenol. They are coated with this sweet coating and are super easy to swallow. I also like the tylenol pm at night becaus it helps you sleep.

Tylenol
