What you are experiencing is sleep paralysis. This is a normal aspect of sleep.
It occurs during deeper stages of sleep to prevent the body from moving as we dream ( or we could end up injuring ourselves!)
Some people do wake up while their body is still in sleep paralysis.
The important thing to realise is that there is no need to force yourself to move. Let yourself go back to sleep and reawaken naturally.
I have had similar episodes frequently since I was a child. So don't worry about it!:)

That is the same thing that happened to me. Except i sleep with my head down on my pillow and when i wake up during the night i try to move but i cant move and then i cant breathe and then when i feel i cant breathe anymore i move. i dunno wat happened. but its stopped for me. i think you might need to ask around or look it up on google

I don't think this is a normal sleep thing. Check into it through WebMD or ask your medical doctor. You may have a problem like sleep apnea or something. You will rest better, no pun intended, if you check into this and set your mind at ease.
