Is it on a bone and not on a joint?
It is probably just a bone bruise, which may leave some scar tissue (a very small bump, even after it heals). They can be very painful or not much at all, so just give it a week or so to heal itself.

Try this to keep it from brusing and to keep the swelling down..my mom's from Mexico and this works..Get Vick's Vaporub and dab it on your palm, add some salt to it and mix. Add the ointment to your injury and the next day you will notice it gone. Trust me It works..this even removes HICKEY's..
