Hey, I cut my thumb pretty deep about seven days ago on a switch blade... Is it !
Question: I Currently have "steril strips" on it now as the doctor called it, And it seems to be healing pretty well but it was a really deep cut on the tip of my thumb, I am afraid to get it wet, should i be ok? i dont want it to re open or anything ><.

It depends on how deep it still is.
If it's healed quite a bit, you can probably get it wet. Water shouldn't open the wound. After you're done getting wet, though, be sure to wipe the cut with alcohol or another disinfectant, and you'll probably want to put another bandage on.
It's ok as long as you keep it clean. I too, recently got a nasty cut. But mine is in the fleshy part of the palm. It was hurting so bad and my co-worker said it looked infected and I should make it bleed... well she squeezed it and I felt the lower layer of my skin which had closed already tear back open and it started bleeding. Then I washed it and poured alcohol over it. Lo and behold, the swelling is gone and it started healing immediately. You can still see inside but it's healing neatly... looks kind of cool actually lol
put some salt on it,if you cant feel that then just tape it up good and go in the water.Just make sure you clean it out good after.
