Getting Sore?!


Question: today, we had a MAJOR quad and calve workout in volleyball. Our legs were shaking and giving out from underneath us. It doesn't take a genius to know that we're gonna be sore tomorrow. What can I do to make it less sore?


Answers: today, we had a MAJOR quad and calve workout in volleyball. Our legs were shaking and giving out from underneath us. It doesn't take a genius to know that we're gonna be sore tomorrow. What can I do to make it less sore?

1. Ice...15 minutes. You can fill up a bathtub with cold water and ice if you're brave (our coach makes us take an icebath in a huge metal bathtub together up to our thighs).
2. Ibuprofin or other anti-inflamatory
3. Elevate your legs a little
4. You can apply a heating pad 1hr + after icing
5. Use Icy-hot or other brand of muscle pain reliever (BenGay, BioFreeze).
6. Stretch but not right after ice or heat

SOAK IN A BATH TUB OF WARM WATER
