Question about heroin/ withdrawals?!
Question: say someone used to be a heroin addict. injecting about half a gram a day for about a year, but then quit using suboxone about 3 weeks ago. well about a week ago i just had shot, and the next day i started getting really sick.. felt like the withdrawals that i felt when i first got off it without the suboxone for help... eg hot/cold flushes, tired, sick, throwing up, fever,sweating, cantsleep, aching body so bad i was screaming in pain. oh and this has lasted 5 days... i had to go to the er on the 2nd night and get pain med endone to help me sleep.
i just cant believe that i could go through such bad withdrawals after my first shot in like 3 weeks.
is this possible?? or could it be something totally unrelated/

nah its heroin. the withdrawls from soboxone and methadone can be almost as bad as the withdrawls from heroin, trust me ive experienced it. your braing memorized the experience it had from heroin and since you used it for so long, your brain will think once it has pain killers in its brain that it can stop producing natural opiates in the brain. so even if you just do it once you are likely to have very bad withdrawls.
the person above me doesnt know what they are talking about. heroin withdrawl is very unlikely to kill you. the drugs that can kill you easily during withdrawals are alcohol and benzos

so just use do'se nicotine patches that help you stop smoking, 'couse they work exactly the same for every drug(exect the mushroom types)!!!
now that the drug is in your body to help get the H outa your system. It makes you sick from the H that is the whole point of getting clean and staying clean. Now when your body is not clean it gets sick to stay clean. Your body has now been trained to keep the demon out. So don't let it back in
Heroin withdrawal can kill you. I assume that was withdrawal. Consider yourself lucky that you did not have to be hospitalized. good luck with the sobriety..
