your kidneys are working good
don't know your age but it still sounds like stress incontinence
your intake of fluids should equal your output (pee, vomit, blood) it's a balancing act our wonderful bodies do on their own

salt intake will help you to retain some of the fluid
but may cause swelling..in your hands, feet, overall body

Could also be a sign of an impending urinary tract infection Drink lots of fluids and flush your bladder

LVN II

could you be pregnant?

I've had that too. Thought if I drank less fluids I would go less but the opposite is what happens. You need to drink more water. You're feeling the urge to go all the time but it's caused by bacteria or something that needs to be flushed out. Since I started (made myself) drinking at least 1 litre of water per day, I don't have that problem anymore. I take a bottle of water to work with me and sip in between. It's really not that bad.

You do need to drink more water, close to a gallon a day. When you don't drink enough fluids, especially water, it is VERY hard on your kidneys. You can tell if you are drinking enough water by the color of your urine. The lighter it is, the better, the darker it is, the worse for your health. I also have this problem. Although with me pain is associated with it, and since you mention no pain I suspect you just have a small bladder that needs to be stretched out a bit. So when you get the urge to pee, try to hold it in longer assuming that your bladder is not all the way full. You are probably getting the urge to pee when only a little urine is in your bladder. If you have problems later on with pain or burning you should see a doctor or even if this is a big problem for you, don't hesitate to make an appointment.
